Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how The Hormonal Shift handles consumer health data.
It is separate from our general Privacy Policy.
Categories of consumer health data
The Hormonal Shift allows you to enter or generate information relating to your health and bodily functions, including:
- symptoms you have noticed;
- how much a symptom is bothering you;
- how often you notice a symptom;
- period or cycle changes;
- timeframe information;
- symptoms you identify as priorities;
- optional cycle notes;
- optional personal notes; and
- histories, comparisons, charts, and summaries created from information you entered.
If you voluntarily send health information to us in a support request, that information may also be treated as consumer health data.
Sources of consumer health data
Consumer health data handled by The Hormonal Shift comes directly from you.
The tracker does not currently import consumer health data from medical records, wearable devices, health platforms, pharmacies, healthcare providers, data brokers, or advertising companies.
Why consumer health data is processed
The tracker processes the information you choose to enter so it can provide the functions you request, including:
- saving your check-ins;
- displaying previous check-ins;
- showing what you recorded across time;
- comparing current and previous recorded information;
- creating your Visit Summary;
- allowing you to copy or print your summary; and
- allowing you to back up, restore, or delete your tracker data.
The Hormonal Shift does not use this information to diagnose a medical condition, determine the cause of symptoms, or provide medical advice.
Where tracker health data is stored
Your tracker check-ins are processed in your browser and saved locally in that browser on that device.
The Hormonal Shift does not maintain a central health-profile database containing your tracker check-ins.
Your check-ins do not automatically transfer to another device or browser.
The tracker provides Backup and Restore tools if you want to keep a separate copy or move your history yourself.
Categories of consumer health data shared
We do not sell consumer health data.
We do not share tracker symptom selections, cycle information, notes, check-in histories, charts, or Visit Summaries for advertising or marketing purposes.
Because tracker check-ins are designed to remain in your browser, we do not routinely receive or share those tracker records.
If you voluntarily send health information in a support request, the communication may be processed by service providers used to provide email or technical support on our behalf.
Third parties and affiliates
We do not share locally stored tracker check-ins with affiliates or third parties as part of the normal tracker experience.
If you voluntarily include health information in a support email, service providers used to operate our support email systems may process that communication on our behalf.
We do not authorize advertising platforms to use your tracker health information to create advertising audiences or profiles.
Purchase information is separate
Purchase, payment, receipt, and license information are handled separately from tracker health information.
Lemon Squeezy processes information necessary to provide checkout, payment, tax, receipts, and purchaser licensing.
We do not connect a purchaser's payment information or purchase email address with that person's symptom or check-in history.
Your consumer health-data rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:
- confirm whether we collect, share, or sell consumer health data concerning you;
- access consumer health data we hold about you;
- withdraw consent for certain collection or sharing;
- request deletion of consumer health data we hold about you; and
- appeal a refusal to act on an eligible consumer health-data request.
Because normal tracker check-ins are stored locally in your browser rather than in our database, we generally cannot retrieve or delete those local records for you.
You can directly review and delete local check-ins through the tracker.
If we possess consumer health data because you voluntarily sent it to us, you may submit a request concerning that information.
How to make a request
Requests relating to consumer health data may be submitted to:
We may take reasonable steps to verify that a request relates to you before acting on it.
If we deny an eligible request, you may contact us at the same email address and ask that the decision be reviewed.
Where applicable law provides an appeal right, we will provide information about the result of the appeal and available complaint options.
Consent
Where consent is required, The Hormonal Shift asks you to affirmatively consent before processing the health information you choose to enter for tracker features.
Health-data consent is kept separate from your purchaser-access information and your tracker check-ins.
Consent may be withdrawn as provided through the tracker or by contacting us regarding consumer health data that we possess.
Changes to health-data practices
We will update this policy before collecting, using, or sharing additional categories of consumer health data or using consumer health data for materially different purposes where applicable law requires notice or consent.
The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
