These Terms of Use apply to The Hormonal Shift, operated by Optika Media.
By purchasing or using The Hormonal Shift, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What The Hormonal Shift is
The Hormonal Shift is a browser-based tool that helps adults record symptoms and cycle changes, review information they have previously recorded, view descriptive changes over time, and create a Visit Summary.
The Hormonal Shift is intended for personal informational and organizational use.
It is not a healthcare provider or medical service.
2. No medical advice or diagnosis
The Hormonal Shift does not:
- diagnose perimenopause, menopause, or any medical condition;
- determine the cause of symptoms;
- provide treatment recommendations;
- recommend medications, supplements, or hormone therapy;
- replace professional medical care; or
- provide emergency medical services.
Information displayed by the tracker reflects information you entered.
Charts, comparisons, histories, and summaries are descriptive organizational tools and are not clinical interpretations.
If you have questions or concerns about symptoms, bleeding, treatment, medications, or your health, contact an appropriate healthcare professional.
If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, seek emergency assistance rather than relying on The Hormonal Shift.
3. Adult use
The Hormonal Shift is intended for adults.
It is not designed for or directed to children.
4. Purchase and payment
Purchases are processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for the transaction.
Lemon Squeezy may process payments, taxes, receipts, refunds, fraud checks, and other order-related information according to its own terms and policies.
The Hormonal Shift is currently sold as a one-time purchase rather than a subscription.
Applicable prices and taxes are shown during checkout.
5. Purchaser access
A purchase includes a license key that functions as an access code.
The normal post-purchase flow may activate access automatically when you use the link provided after checkout or in your receipt.
You may also enter the access code manually if you need to regain access.
A purchase currently permits activation on up to 3 browsers or devices.
Clearing browser storage, replacing a device, changing browsers, or similar events may require a new activation.
If you reach the activation limit because a previous browser or device is no longer available, contact support@thehormonalshift.com for assistance.
Access codes are intended for the purchaser's personal use and should not be publicly posted, sold, redistributed, or shared as a means of providing unpaid access to others.
6. License to use the service
Subject to these Terms and successful purchase, Optika Media grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use The Hormonal Shift for your own personal use.
This license does not transfer ownership of the software, design, branding, written content, or other intellectual property.
You may not:
- resell or sublicense access;
- publicly distribute access codes;
- copy or redistribute substantial portions of the software;
- attempt to bypass purchaser-access controls;
- use the service for unlawful purposes; or
- interfere with or attempt to compromise the operation or security of the service.
Nothing in this section prevents you from making personal backups, printed summaries, or PDF copies of information that you entered into the tracker.
7. Your tracker information
Tracker check-ins are designed to be processed in your browser and saved locally in that browser on that device.
The Hormonal Shift does not maintain a central health-profile database containing your normal tracker check-ins.
Because the information is stored locally:
- it does not automatically follow you to another device or browser;
- clearing browser data may remove it;
- browser or device failures may result in data loss; and
- you are encouraged to use Backup My Tracker or Print / Save PDF when you want a separate copy.
The availability of locally stored information may depend on your device, browser, browser settings, storage permissions, and actions you take outside The Hormonal Shift.
8. Backup and restore
The tracker provides tools that allow you to download a backup and restore compatible tracker backups.
You are responsible for keeping backup files somewhere appropriate if you want an additional copy of your tracker history.
Restoring a backup is designed to add compatible check-ins without overwriting existing check-ins that have the same record identifier.
Backup files may contain sensitive health-related information that you entered. You are responsible for deciding where and how to store or share your downloaded backup files.
9. Health-data consent
Certain tracker features process health-related information you choose to enter.
Where required, you will be asked to provide consent before those features process or display that information.
You may withdraw health-data consent through the tracker-data management page.
Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete your locally stored check-ins or cancel your purchase.
You may separately delete tracker check-ins using the data-management tools.

10. Accuracy of information
The Hormonal Shift relies on information you choose to enter.
You are responsible for reviewing the accuracy and completeness of information you enter or choose to share with a healthcare professional or another person.
We do not independently verify your entries.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep The Hormonal Shift available and functioning, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
Browser updates, device settings, internet availability, third-party services, maintenance, security issues, or circumstances outside our control may affect availability.
We may make reasonable changes to the software to maintain, secure, fix, or improve its operation.
We will not intentionally convert a one-time purchase into a recurring subscription without obtaining a new agreement where required.
12. Intellectual property
The Hormonal Shift software, visual design, branding, written materials, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Optika Media and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Your own tracker entries remain your information.
These Terms do not give us ownership of the symptoms, notes, cycle information, or other personal information you enter into the tracker.
13. Refunds
Our voluntary refund policy is described separately in the Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer-protection law.
14. Suspension or loss of access
We may suspend or disable purchaser access where reasonably necessary, including where:
- a payment is refunded or reversed;
- a license is confirmed to be invalid or disabled;
- an access code is being unlawfully redistributed;
- access controls are deliberately circumvented; or
- use materially violates these Terms.
Loss or revocation of purchaser access does not automatically delete tracker check-ins stored locally in your browser.
15. Third-party services
Certain parts of the service rely on third parties, including Lemon Squeezy for payment and licensing and technical providers used to host and operate the website.
Those third parties may have separate terms and privacy policies governing their services.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Hormonal Shift is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every browser or device, or that locally stored information can always be recovered.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Optika Media is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use The Hormonal Shift.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that applicable consumer law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, business, or applicable requirements change.
The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
Where required, material changes will be communicated appropriately.
